Hi all,

I appreciate everyone coming back to the server and playing and I hope some of you were able to get that nostalgia feeling that we all wanted! But after careful consideration we will be shutting down the operation of the server and not go into ‘LIVE status’. This is tough for me and I’m not happy about it, but I think it’s for the best. We didn’t really get the turn out of players we hoped for, and the time and money it costs to keep this operational is to much considering the low population count. Thank you all for playing. Love you all. Please keep in touch via Facebook @ the MML2 Group.

Regards,

MML2 Team

Well this is a big “bad” news. I mean i respect that choice and all that stuff. I started a week ago, felt good to play again, i was hoping to meet some old mml2 players once the server would go live but looks like it won’t happen.
I might not get all the answers but why won’t you guys go live? Personnal or money problems?

      Hi JonnyWalker,

Sorry, I added some information onto the original post to make it more clear why. The population was extremely low and the box I have this running on is extremely powerful, so it’s hard to justify using so many resources and power for such a small population. I’ve also put a lot of my own time into developing the server so when I see only a couple of people on all day Friday and Saturdays, it doesn’t seem worth the time and effort to keep it online. I don’t know if people are waiting for it to go live before they wanted to start playing, and if that is the case then that could change my perspective of the situation. But even then, should we wipe and just go to live? I hate wiping servers. I could move the server to a less powerful box, then wipe it and go live, but I’m not convinced we would get good jump in population. If you think I am wrong, let me know. Feel free to hit me up on the Discord or Facebook if you want to chat about it further.
